How easy it is to get busy in life, handling everything on our own, paying no attention to our Source. We save our Source for the BIG things, everyday stresses are our problem, not His–RIGHT?! WRONG!! In every thing, every situation, every need and every joy, we need to stay connected to our Source of Grace. Prayer is that connection, which is awesome, because nobody has to even know we are praying, but everyone will know when we aren’t praying–because we and our lives are out of control. Sadly, we are then unable to splash grace and hope on someone else in need–we are dried up because we’ve lost our connection.
The grace you had yesterday will not be sufficient for today. Grace is the overflowing favor of God, and you can always count on it being available to draw upon as needed. . . .Prayer is the practice of drawing on the grace of God. Don’t say, “I will endure this until I can get away and pray.” Pray now . . . One of the greatest proofs that you are drawing on the grace of God is that you can be totally humiliated before others without displaying even the slightest trace of anything but His grace. —Oswald Chambers
