Trials are a direct answer to Jesus’ prayer for us in John 17:21;  “That they ALL may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us.”  We can choose how to accept those trials, they can be like the hook that draws us closer and holds us fast or they can be sharp, repulsive and keep us angry at God.  If we are going to be Christians there will be some “partaking of Christ’s sufferings.”  Why should we expect to have it better than our God and Savior?  Let the trials of this life draw you in–be One.
