Where would we be if God had not had the idea of salvation, of letting us know Him, of understanding the sorrow and judgement sin requires, of being identified with Him through Christ’s love on the cross, of knowing hope, of finding light and joy amongst the thorns of this earth . . . . The list goes on.  Without the great idea of salvation–the Gospel of Christ’s life, death, resurrection and promise of His return– our lives would be baron of any idea of goodness or God.
