When I read today’s devotional I was a little stymied as to why I drew flowers with “root” words entwined together–after all, today’s devotional was about intimacy with God.  Then as I thought about it further, it dawned on me that the only way to be intimate with a God we don’t see is through intimate, “earthly” relationships.  So, you might say, I now agree with my decision to draw a flower family to illustrate intimate relationships.  I also agree with what I wrote on the back of my doodle–“Without crap in life, we’d never grow.”
