This Idea Rocked My World

If you carry this idea of discipleship being a SOLE DEVOTION TO JESUS all the way to its end conclusion, that means that EVERYTHING else, I mean EVERYTHING else is just loud background noise, trying to keep your attention off of Christ.  I’m going to leave it at that–with a messy doodle–and challenge you to really absorb what it might mean to you and the way you’ve been doing “religion.”

The hardest thing for me to do is stay devoted to Jesus--I want to worry, DO SOMETHING, put this earth and its problems first, complain--anything but focus on Christ. It seems simple, but it's the hardest commands--BELIEVE and LOVE.

God’s commands may seem simplistic, but BELIEVE and LOVE are the hardest things to do and cannot be done if you aren’t focused on/devoted to Christ.
