Drip With Spontaneous Love

This is a repost.  I’m on the road again on Orcas Island and I don’t think this posted correctly. I’ll try again, but it won’t be the same.

I do remember mentioning how most of my life has been spent thinking that I need to show my love to God and there was a list of ways I could show it. My “love” was in a box of do’s and don’ts. Oswald Chambers said it like this,

If we try to prove to God how much we love him, it is a sure sign that we really don’t love him. The evidence of our love for him is the absolute spontaneity of our love, which flows naturally from his nature within us. . . . The life of God exhibits itself in this spontaneous way because the fountains of his love are in the holy spirit.
