Choose Transformation

I don’t know about you but change is hard!  Sometimes even identifying what needs to be changed is hard.  In fact, when it comes to my personal life, words and actions, it’s easier just to say things like, “Well, that’s the way I am, I’ve tried to change but it’s in my genes, you’ll just have to take me or leave me, at least I’m better than . . .”  However, In the midst of munching away on those words and devouring the sin I enjoy partaking in, Christ is calling me to a better life.  A life of victory and soaring above my old self.

Be transformed . . . FLY!!

Be transformed . . . FLY!!

We weren’t created to be stuck in our caterpillar self, chewing on our sins forever.  We were created for a better life, to be transformed.  Like the caterpillar, we have to choose to go through the transformation process.  Being “crucified with Christ” is not about calling yourself a Christian while continuing to crawl on the ground living the old, comfortable life amongst the leaves of our sin. It’s about choosing to put aside the old man, being transformed into an unrecognizable new man, and taking flight into freedom, soaring freely in His grace and drinking the nectar of His power–being transformed!!

Have you entered into the glorious privilege of being crucified with Christ, until all that remains in your flesh and blood is His life?  “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me . . .” (Galatians 2:20)  –Oswald Chambers

P.S.  I went shopping the other day.  I should stay away from art stores.  In order to continue improving in my “doodles” and not get stale in my approach I decided to enlist some new tools.  A Zentangle book and some new pens have been my inspiration the last couple of days.  I hope you enjoy them as much as I’ve enjoyed playing with them.  Oh, also, this is doodle number 182.  I’ve done this for almost 6 MONTHS straight.  I made a choice to do this for a year, every morning.  It’s challenging at times when I’m really tired, but it’s been a good choice overall.  6 more months to go in My Utmost For His Highest.  We’ll see if I continue on after that.  Have a great day!!
