Surround your life with, filter your beliefs through Jesus Christ and Him crucified–and everything else in your life will fall into place.

Jesus will keep you focused on what matters.

Oswald Chambers put it like this today,

Never allow anything to divert you from your insight into Jesus Christ.  It is the true test of whether you are spiritual or not. To be unspiritual means that other things have a growing fascination for you.

That’s quite a statement and reminds me that even my “doctrines” can divert me from Jesus Christ, if they bring my focus back to this earth and the things going on in it–wars, rumors or wars, mark of the beast, our monetary system, etc.  With Christ surrounding your life, those things don’t seem to matter any more.  And besides, if our world being a mess is a sign of His coming, than He’s running late!  The world’s been a violent place ever since sin entered it.  Just check your Bible.
