Watch the Conductor–The Author and Finisher of your song–B Natural!

If you are a musician and have played in a band or orchestra or sung in a choir, you will get this.  If you’ve ever listened to a band or orchestra or choir who had not practiced or who had musicians or singers trying to play a solo off-key and off tempo, you will get this as well–think grade school.

God wrote each of our music scores before the foundation of the earth.  He brought us into the earth’s score at just the right place and time.  It is up to us to practice the instrument or voice He gave us and watch for His cues to come in and out, play loudly or softly, hold and count . . . It’s not up to us to interpret the music He wrote for us, it’s up to the Conductor.  Be sensitive to His leading.  We must not let our eyes stray to someone else’s music.  If we don’t stray we will make beautiful music together–if we want to play someone else’s part as well as ours, well, we’ll be like that little one in the choir with the most enthusiasm, singing to OUR hearts content but sounding like fingernails on a chalkboard to everyone around.  (If only they could see the conductor giving the signal to sing softly.)

This is not a case of “make a joyful NOISE unto the Lord.”  Instead it’s, “Watch for your cues–be sensitive to the Conductors hands.”  Let’s make beautiful music together.  In the end the Conductor will say, “Well done!”

P.S.  Keep in mind, it’s in the start and the finish of the music that counts.  Everyone will forget the middle (the middle is the journey) if you end well.
