It all comes back to ‘motive.’ We can be motivated by love, greed, fear, others, self-gain, or whatever, but we are all investing in something.  We cannot separate ourselves out from existing, working, playing, raising families, etc.  That is the sum of our lives and it is meant to be spent up.

Spend Your Life Well

There is nothing wrong with building a career, or a beautiful home or garden, enjoying the ‘things of this earth.’  We are meant to have joy.  But don’t forget…your life on earth will eventually be just a big garage sale of stuff you left behind.  What will you be leaving behind and will there be more people who know Jesus and will have eternal life and joy because of you?  Whatever you do…do all to the glory of God–Your life will be well spent!
