Logically speaking, the bigger the better–right!?
I was struck by this quote this morning, “Dejection stems from one of two sources–I have either satisfied a lust or I have not had it satisfied…Spiritual lust causes me to demand an answer from God, instead of seeking God Himself who gives the answer.” Later on Oswald Chambers said this, “One of the most amazing revelations of God comes to us when we learn that it is in the everyday things of life that we realize the magnificent deity of Jesus Christ.”
I want to leave you to think on this: Are the BIG things weighing you down or keeping you from being able to see the small blessings waving in front of your face? The things that actually bring beauty to your life, like your favorite meal, a good book, comfortable clothes at the end of a long day and a comfortable couch to sit on to watch your favorite TV show–oh, you have a TV! Possibly it’s the smile and giggle of a little one or a cup of coffee with a friend. Stop and enjoy those little joys and leave the BIG stuff to God. He’s working them out.
Let God “romance” you daily.
